These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Fridge Brain Alexa skill ("Service") operated by Fridge Brain ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Fridge Brain is an Alexa skill that helps you track food items, expiration dates, and storage locations in your kitchen. Features include expiration alerts, usage and waste tracking, money-saved statistics, grocery reordering, and weekly fridge reports.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Service. By using Fridge Brain, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. User Accounts & Data

• Your Fridge Brain account is tied to your Amazon Alexa account.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (item names, expiration dates, etc.).
• You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@fridgebrain.app.

4. Free & Premium Tiers

• Free tier: Supports up to 11 items in your fridge inventory with core features.
• Premium tier: $1.99/month via Amazon In-Skill Purchasing. Includes unlimited items, location-based filtering, weekly fridge reports, and scheduled reminders.
• Premium subscriptions are managed and billed entirely through Amazon. Refer to Amazon's terms for purchase, renewal, and refund policies.
• You may cancel your premium subscription at any time by saying "cancel my subscription" or through Amazon's subscription management.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
• Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through voice commands.
• Use automated means to interact with the Service beyond normal Alexa usage.

6. Third-Party Services

Fridge Brain may integrate with third-party services including:

• Amazon Alexa & In-Skill Purchasing – Governed by Amazon's terms of use.
• Instacart – Grocery orders initiated through Fridge Brain are fulfilled and governed by Instacart's terms.
• Amazon Shopping – Grocery orders initiated through Fridge Brain are fulfilled and governed by Amazon's terms.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding associated with Fridge Brain are the property of Fridge Brain and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• Fridge Brain does not guarantee the accuracy of expiration date tracking. Always use your own judgment regarding food safety.
• We are not responsible for food spoilage, illness, or any damages resulting from reliance on the Service.
• Money-saved and money-wasted statistics are estimates and should not be relied upon for financial decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fridge Brain and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
