Fridge Brain ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Fridge Brain Alexa skill (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

When you use Fridge Brain, we collect and store:

• Account identifiers – Your Amazon user ID, used to associate your data with your Alexa account.
• Fridge inventory data – Item names, expiration dates, storage locations, and status (active, used, wasted) that you provide via voice commands.
• Usage analytics – Aggregated statistics such as items added, money saved vs. wasted, and order history.
• Subscription information – Your premium subscription status, managed through Amazon's In-Skill Purchasing.
• Reminder preferences – Day and time preferences for weekly fridge report reminders (premium feature).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Fridge Brain service.
• To track your fridge inventory and send expiration alerts.
• To generate weekly fridge reports and deliver scheduled reminders.
• To calculate money-saved and money-wasted statistics.
• To process grocery reorder requests through third-party services (Instacart, Amazon).
• To manage your premium subscription status.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Amazon Web Services (AWS) DynamoDB databases in the US-East-1 region. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authenticated requests from your Alexa account.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• With Amazon, as required to operate an Alexa skill and process In-Skill Purchases.
• When you explicitly initiate a grocery order through Instacart or Amazon.
• If required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your fridge inventory and account data are retained as long as you actively use the skill. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us at support@fridgebrain.app. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Fridge Brain is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.

7. Third-Party Services

Fridge Brain integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Amazon Alexa & In-Skill Purchasing
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Instacart (for grocery ordering)

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:
